Time Turning

$1,200.00

Time Turning

31 x 45"

Acrylic, ink, charcoal on Wood

This is Moose Mountain, a spot usually reserved for downhill mountain biking. Mike and our three boys bike from the top to the bottom, Im just the driver. But this day was different, I had all my paints and a large piece of wood primed and ready. I took over a hundred pictures, but none of them quite captured the beauty and humbling I felt as I beared witness to this impermanence of time.  When words fail, there is Art.  The contrast and collision of colours as the interplay of brushstroke direction gave this piece the sensation of movement.  The calm washes of solid mountains stand in contrast to the wild mess of grass, swirling leaves and chaotic blue sky.  We are all dancing with time.
